Wendy Griffith (Murphy) - Intern

american association of counselors

Qualifications/Background/Experience

Wendy Griffith (Murphy) is a master’s level intern working on her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is thrilled to be a part of Christian Counseling Services. She will finish her program at Grand Canyon University in 2024.

Before joining the CCS team, Wendy worked with students aged preschool-8th grade as an Athletic Director and Teacher. While finishing her Master’s degree she worked mentoring at-risk high school students. She is also involved at her church where she coaches a marriage class with her husband.

Wendy grew up in Ahwatukee, Arizona, and loves God above all else. She is married with two stepchildren and has a baby. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, travel, and play soccer. One fun fact about Wendy is that she has traveled much of the world having done ministry work in over 15 countries. Those experiences were formational and are one reason she is passionate about being an advocate for those who are suffering from different challenges in their life.

Wendy is currently training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She is working under the direct supervision of Susan Panos, M.Ed, LPC, a board-approved Clinical Supervisor in Arizona.

Wendy will be seeing clients at our Mesa location on Mondays and Saturdays. You may contact Wendy at her email address: wendy@christiancounselingservicesaz.com or reach her by cell (call or text) at 480-586-5548.
