Eating Disorders

It is very common in our society today, especially for women,  to have a “disordered” relationship to food and accompanying body image disturbances. All of our therapists are qualified to assist in these areas. In the case of compulsive overeating or binge eating disorder we may be prone to “emotional eating” where we seek comfort for feelings or situations that we don’t know how to manage. There  may be trauma, underlying anxiety  or depression that needs to be treated.

Our Psychologist, Don Durham was the Clinical Director of Remuda Ranch Treatment Center for Eating Disorders for many years. He is well versed in anorexia and bulimia and the preferred treatments for those disorders.
