Tyler Williams, LAC

Qualifications/Background/Experience

Tyler Williams was born and raised in Arizona and grew up in the church. He walks
alongside adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, men’s health issues, church
hurt, and faith-related struggles. He believes in counseling that integrates clinical
practice with faith.

Tyler brings a unique blend of clinical training and pastoral experience to his work.
Before entering the counseling field, he served for several years in church ministry as a
youth pastor, providing spiritual and emotional support to individuals and families.

Tyler has a particular passion for walking with young men and adult men who are
struggling to find their purpose. He understands the unique pressures men face and
works with a range of men’s issues; including the struggle with pornography, helping
clients move toward freedom, clarity, conviction, and a renewed sense of direction in
their lives, relationships, and faith.

In his clinical work, Tyler draws from many theoretical frameworks including Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered counseling, solution focused therapy, and
mindfulness. He is also currently being trained in EMDR (Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing) trauma therapy. He approaches each client with
empathy, genuineness, and careful attention to their individual story and goals.

Tyler holds a Bachelors degree in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University, a
Masters in Ministry from Phoenix Seminary, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He sees clients at the Surprise and
Goodyear offices and is also available through telehealth. He is under the direct
supervision of Susan Panos, M.Ed., LPC, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor
through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

Outside of the counseling office, Tyler enjoys playing guitar, staying active through
exercise, watching THE Ohio State University football, and spending time with his
family.
