Anthony (Tony) Reda, MA, LAMFT (08055T)
Tony was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and relocated to Arizona in 2023 to join Christian Counseling Services of Arizona. Tony graduated from Colorado Christian University with honors in 2023 and now holds his Arizona associate license in Marriage and Family therapy. He is a devoted husband of 29 years and a proud father of two amazing sons now aged 26 and 24.
Tony utilizes various theoretical frameworks to support his clients which includes individuals, couples, families, and youth aged 16 and up. He believes that a humanistic stance promotes self-acceptance, unconditional positive regard, positive change, and demonstrates empathy for those struggling in life.
Tony will conduct a biopsychosocial assessment which informs the
therapeutic relationship and guides the work thus revealing the greatest opportunities for holistic healing. His passion is rooted in family systems work, dialectical therapy, cognitive and behavior therapies, and emotionally focused work. Tony has completed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) basic-training and is focused upon addressing the root causes of trauma, painful or fearful memories, anxiety, depression, and promoting long-term change. Tony operates from a Christian
worldview therefore encourages incorporating spirituality/religion into his practice but remains open to other beliefs, diverse backgrounds, and honors all cultures meeting clients wherever they are at in their respective journey.
Tony sees clients both in-person or virtual and will be working out of the Surprise and Glendale offices. He is under the direct supervision of Elijah Steinbrecher, LMFT, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
