Tiffany Barker has earned her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health with an Emphasis in Trauma, and is excited to be part of the internship program at Christian Counseling Service. Tiffany is in the final phase of her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and will graduate February 2024.
Tiffany is an advocate for hope and emotional healing. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced based intervention that Tiffany will utilize. She understands how distressing it can be to be weighed down by unhealed trauma. In fact, it was her own personal trauma journey that inspired her to leave her career in business and pursue a role in the helping professions. She passionately believes that trauma does not have to define who a person is, but instead it can sharpen their character. Her goal is to encourage clients to seek a combination of a healthy, balanced, and faith centered life, through a trauma-informed approach.
Tiffany loves the beautiful Arizona desert and enjoys exploring it with her son and husband when she can. She strongly believes it is important to be connected with the natural world as much as possible because God has painted an amazing canvas for us to enjoy and admire. She believes that serving others, spending time in prayer, and being close to nature can often help to bring herself and others peace.
Tiffany will be under the supervision of Theresa Hay, MS LPC, NCC, who is a board approved Clinical Supervisor in the State of Arizona.
Tiffany will be seeing clients at our Anthem location on Sundays and in our Metro Center office on Tuesdays. You may reach out to Tiffany at her email address: tiffany@
