She also worked as a clinical intern at a private practice in Denver serving a wide range of clients including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Sarah is currently being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Sarah has a strong passion for working with children and adolescents. She has worked with children in multiple capacities including volunteering at her local church’s children ministry, volunteering as a camp counselor at Royal Family Kids Camp serving children in the foster care system, working in a preschool setting serving children on the Autism spectrum, and has provided professional in-home child care for many years.
Sarah’s goal is to be a supportive, empathic, engaging, and calm presence in therapy. All adults deserve a place to be heard and accepted. Teens deserve a place of stability, independence, and exploration. And kids deserve a place of curiosity, creativity, and playfulness–a place where they can truly be kids!
Sarah was raised in a Christian family and her faith has always been an integral part of who she is. “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” – Psalm 73:26
Sarah is currently under the direct supervision of Perry Emerick, MA, LPC, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
