Malisa Goucher - Intern

Qualifications/Background/Experience

Malisa is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s most difficult seasons, helping them move toward healing, resilience, and renewed hope. With over 30 years of experience in ministry and church planting, she brings a deep sense of empathy to her work with individuals, couples, and families.

She integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a faith-informed perspective, tailoring her care to each client’s needs. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and encouraged in their growth.

Malisa holds a B.S. in Psychology (Christian Counseling) from Liberty University and is currently completing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also receiving specialized training in EMDR and works under the supervision of Ben Dickerson, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

Outside of counseling, Malisa enjoys time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loves traveling—especially to the beach—and spending time with family and friends.

Malisa is accepting new clients at the Goodyear location and is available for both in-office and telehealth appointments. Please call or text at (623)340-5118 or send an email to malisa@christiancounselingservicesaz.com.
