Lissette Valle is a master’s level counseling intern at Christian Counseling Services of Arizona, currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. This program emphasizes both evidence-based therapeutic practice and ethical, faith-integrated care, preparing Lissette to support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
Lissette’s counseling approach is grounded in a holistic, trauma-informed framework that draws from evidence-based models like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is actively training in EMDR and uses it as a tool to help clients process trauma and find deeper emotional healing. Lissette believes therapy should nurture the integration of emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness, empowering clients to find balance, resilience, and renewed purpose.
As a Christian and bilingual therapist-in-training, Lissette offers counseling in both English and Spanish to meet the diverse needs of her clients. She works under the supervision of Jennifer Cecil, M.Ed., LPC, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Before pursuing counseling, Lissette built a professional background in linguistics and leadership, where she developed a deep appreciation for human resilience and connection. Her passion for helping others overcome adversity continues to guide her work as a counselor, where she provides a compassionate, faith-based space for healing and growth.
Lissette sees clients at our South Scottsdale and Tempe offices, offering in-person sessions and telehealth sessions. To schedule an appointment, please call 480-206-5259 or email lissette@christiancounselingservicesaz.com.
