Lincoln Baker - Intern

Lincoln Baker is a master’s level counseling intern at Christian Counseling Services of Arizona, currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. This distinctive program blends evidence-based clinical counseling with sound biblical and theological training, equipping Lincoln to address the whole person—body, mind, and soul.

Lincoln’s approach, grounded in Integrative Psychotherapy, brings together cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal therapeutic models within a biblical worldview to provide holistic and compassionate care. He is actively training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and works under the supervision of Perry Emerick, M.A., LPC, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

A dual US/Canadian citizen, Lincoln was raised in northern British Columbia, Canada, and is a member of both the Carcross/Tagish First Nation and Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska. He holds a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College and is also a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA). Before becoming a counselor, Lincoln worked as an actor, drawn to exploring the human journey through the art of storytelling and connecting with others on an emotional level. Over time, that passion turned into a calling to help others in their own personal journeys. Now, that same sense of empathy guides him in the counseling room, where he provides a space for people to share their stories, feel heard, and begin the journey of healing, growth, and discovering a deeper sense of who they truly are.

Lincoln and his wife, married for over twenty years, live in Queen Creek, Arizona, where they’re raising their two daughters and loving life in the desert. He sees clients at our Queen Creek and Gilbert offices, offering both in-person and online sessions.
