Larry Harris - Intern

Larry Harris serves as a counseling intern at Christian Counseling Services of Arizona, where he is pursuing his master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and working toward licensure. Larry’s heart is to walk alongside clients, offering care that is rooted in God’s love and wisdom. He seeks to help each person discover God’s presence and gentle guidance within the unique story of their life.

Larry’s approach to counseling is gentle and practical, always anchored in the hope and truth found in Christ. He meets clients with compassion, seeking to nurture healing and growth in body, mind, and spirit.

Larry is also receiving training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), so he can offer even more tools to support those entrusted to his care. Having served as a police officer in Indiana, Larry understands the weight of life’s challenges and is committed to walking with others through difficult seasons. His calm and welcoming presence creates a safe space where clients can share their stories and find comfort in God’s care. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a second master’s degree in theological studies.

Larry lives in the East Valley and is a member of Valley Bible Church. He treasures time with his family, enjoys running, and watching Notre Dame Football. One of his greatest joys is teaching his children about the redeeming love of Christ.

Larry works under the direct supervision of Elijah Steinbrecher, LMFT, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
