Jill Patterson - Intern

Qualifications/Background/Experience

Jill Patterson is a graduate student at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She began her career in the medical field as a nurse over twenty years ago. She discovered a new calling through the struggles she experienced at home and in nursing, aiming to help others improve not only their physical health but also their mental health.

Counseling became an interest after she experienced the effects of attachment disorder and the chaos and dysfunction associated with it. Her passion is to help others heal from the past and look toward the future.

Jill incorporates evidence-based counseling practices and combines them with biblical beliefs. She enjoys working with people of all ages, including teenagers, young adults, and older adults facing challenges.

Jill believes problems should be addressed at their roots, which is why she has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses it when appropriate to help her clients process and recover from trauma.

Jill is supervised by Jennifer Cecil, M.Ed. LPC (an AZBBHE-approved clinical supervisor), as she works toward full licensure. She practices out of the Prescott office on Mondays and Fridays and provides telehealth services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

You may contact Jill at (520) 499-9511 or email her at jill@christiancounselingservicesaz.com.

I am able to meet with clients either online via telehealth or in person at my office.
