Heidi Johnsen is a Christian Licensed Associate Counselor whose approach centers on each client’s personal experiences, supporting their journey toward holistic well‑being in mind, body, and soul. With a passion for walking alongside people in meaningful ways, Heidi provides psychotherapy to adolescents, teens, adults, and couples. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA, a trauma‑informed modality that helps clients process painful memories and strengthen emotional resilience.
As a Christian, Heidi integrates faith into the counseling experience at a level that aligns with each client’s comfort and values. She believes deeply in the healing power of empathy, collaboration, and evidence‑based care, and is honored to walk with clients as they pursue growth, clarity, and meaningful change. Her ideal clients are those who come ready to be honest, vulnerable, and invested in their own healing. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and she honors the courage it takes to do the work.
Heidi brings a strong academic foundation to her counseling work, holding a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts from Point Loma Nazarene University, and a Master of Science from Grand Canyon University. She currently practices in North Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Anthem, and via telehealth. Heidi is under the supervision of Emilie Christman, LCSW, a Senior Licensed Therapist and approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
