Qualifications, Background & Experience

Elijah Steinbrecher is licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) and holds a Masters degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelors in Behavioral Health Science from Arizona Christian University.  Elijah is an active member of a local body of Christian believers and lives life from a Christian worldview.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Elijah has been living in Phoenix for 10 years with his wife and 3 children.  In his 10+ year career in the Behavioral Health field, Elijah has had the privilege to walk alongside many people seeking to understand, process, and transform themselves and their relationships.  Elijah is passionate about supporting children, couples, and families as they work through the various challenges associated with life and trauma. Elijah is an EMDR-trained Therapist who works from a trauma-informed approach. He is trained in numerous other trauma-informed modalities such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Ego-state therapy and Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT). Elijah is a Prepare and Enrich facilitator for pre-marital support, marital check-ups and Parenting style assessments for family issues.

In the office, you can expect a safe non-judgmental Christian environment to foster growth and healing through a trusting and compassionate relationship.  Elijah considers it an honor that others allow him to enter into their difficulties and be a part of their healing through the power of Christ.  Elijah is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
