Chris Willis is a Licensed Associate Counselor affiliated with Christian Counseling Services. She works with individuals, couples, and families, offering a warm, relational, and faith-centered approach to counseling.
Chris integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), family systems work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and practical skills clients can apply in everyday life. She is currently completing EMDR training and will be offering EMDR therapy soon. Her approach is holistic and collaborative, honoring the connection between emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. She believes therapy should feel like a partnership — a safe, supportive space where clients can be honest, explore their stories, and move toward growth and healing at a pace that feels right for them.
Chris enjoys working with adults who seek to grow in self-awareness, resilience, and emotional health as they strive to become their best and most authentic selves. She also has a passion for supporting healthy marriages and helping couples and families strengthen communication, trust, and emotional connection.
Chris was married at a young age and has been married for 31 years. She and her husband have four children in their twenties, two of whom are married, and now she cherishes her role as a Gigi to her first granddaughter. Originally from San Diego, California, Chris has lived in several different states and in Australia due to her husband’s career as a naval officer. These life experiences have shaped her appreciation for resilience, transition, and the many seasons of life people navigate.
Chris sees clients at the South Scottsdale location on Mondays and at the North Phoenix Baptist Church (NPHX) location on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She also offers telehealth sessions for added flexibility and accessibility.
