Caitlyn Amstutz – MS, LAC

Caitlyn Amstutz is a Licensed Associate Counselor at Christian Counseling Services. She currently holds a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family from Grand Canyon University as of 2022 and previously graduated from GCU with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Counseling. Before beginning her internship at CCS, Caitlyn worked as a respite care provider providing in-home care for families with children with disabilities. Caitlyn also volunteered at her local church’s children’s ministry for many years giving her extensive experience in working with a wide array of individuals.

From a young age, Caitlyn has always had a passion for helping others and being that person who will listen when others need to talk. From personal experience, Caitlyn understands how challenging it can be to reach out for help, and because of this, she desires to create a safe and non-judgmental place for people to receive help. Having grown up in a Christian family, the Christian faith is very important in Caitlyn’s life, and she desires to include this in her work in helping people through their struggles. She also understands that this is not for everyone and will allow one to choose how much biblical incorporation, if any, they desire within their sessions. Caitlyn has a strong passion for working with adolescents and young adults as well as aiding others in finding and healing the roots to their problems.

>Caitlyn has completed her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and currently works with individuals, including adolescents, struggling with depression, anxiety, past/current trauma, relationship issues, and more.

Caitlyn is currently under the direct supervision of Candace Cook, MS, LPC, LAMFT, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
