Ben is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an approved clinical supervisor in the State of Arizona. His areas of focus include helping men create stability in their lives and families, assisting children and adolescents with behavioral difficulties, providing marital counseling, and helping individuals break free from cycles of depression, addiction, anxiety, and anger. Ben is a trauma-informed therapist who is committed to addressing root causes rather than just outward symptoms. He strives to help people find lasting change and stability in their lives.
Ben is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), the gold standard in the industry for treating trauma-related challenges.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Ben spent twenty years teaching at the K-12 and college levels. He holds a degree in mental health counseling from GCU, an M.A. in Religious Studies from ASU, and a B.A. in History and Philosophy from ASU. He has been married for 22 years and has two kids and lots of animals. He enjoys reading and listening to books, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and continuously learning new things.
Ben works with individuals ages 5 and older. He has a gentle nature and a good sense of humor when connecting with children and adolescents. He also supports families with children in need of counseling and helps parents navigate parenting challenges.
