Asa is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Asa provides treatment for a variety of situations including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions with therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, IFS, and DBT. He also has experience helping individuals address pornography addiction by establishing healthier habits and understanding the underlying patterns associated with chronic use.
Asa has previously spent three years working at a community behavioral health facility, where he provided services to families and later moved into recruiting staff committed to supporting families through behavioral health services. Currently, Asa works with college students at Grand Canyon University, supporting them academically and collaborating with them on their career development.
As a devoted follower of Christ, Asa believes in holistic healing—addressing both mind, body, and spirit—through the integration of therapeutic approaches and the grace and teachings of the Lord. He has served on worship teams for over a decade and continues to lead and organize Sunday worship services at his local church. Outside of counseling, Asa enjoys connecting with people through art, music, movies, sports, and learning about their unique hobbies.
Asa has completed his training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and works under the supervision of Joel Thompson, LCSW, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Asa sees clients at the Metro Phoenix and Glendale offices, offering both in-person and telehealth sessions. He can be reached at 480-482-9587 or asa@
