american association of counselors

Qualifications, Background & Experience

Andrea is working on a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from American Indian College of the Assemblies of God. She has experience with women, youth, and children. She has served in many areas of ministry within her church. She is currently involved with her congregation’s homeless ministry in downtown Phoenix.

When working with youth on the reservation, this is where she learned to ask people, “What is your story?”. This was when she realized everyone experiences trauma, and everyone has a story that has impacted their life. This began the desire to understand how experiences affect us and desiring to see people healed and made whole in Yeshua. Andrea found herself in counseling and mentoring roles with young women and coworkers. God used these moments to encourage Andrea to pursue a counseling degree. She is working on training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Andrea loves to craft and make jewelry. She loves to read and write, and she loves to worship. Yeshua is her foundation. Her desire is to do everything for His Glory.
