Zachary Cecil is a master’s-level counseling intern at Christian Counseling Services of Arizona, currently completing his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. His graduate training is specifically designed to equip clinicians to serve individuals and families facing complex life challenges through evidence-based, compassionate care.
Zach’s clinical approach is grounded in integrative Christian counseling, which blends established therapeutic models with a biblical worldview. He works collaboratively with clients to reframe pain through the lens of hope and spiritual meaning, attending to the full spectrum of human experience—biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. His practice emphasizes strength-building, resilience, and the facilitation of healing through grace-informed therapeutic relationships.
Zach is actively training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs, an evidence-based modality effective in treating trauma and related conditions.
A lifelong Arizona resident and follower of Christ, Zach has felt a deep calling to walk alongside others in their healing journeys, with a particular heart for supporting young men and women. Prior to entering the counseling field, he served for eight years as a high school English and history teacher, experience that deepened his understanding of adolescent development, relational connection, and the power of mentorship.
Zach is an active member of Dream City Church in Glendale and finds renewal in connecting with family, students, and his local community. He is committed to helping clients navigate life’s difficulties with faith, courage, and lasting resilience.
Zach works under the supervision of Ben Dickerson MA, MS, LPC, an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Zach sees clients at our Glendale and our Metro Center offices, offering both in-person and online sessions. Contact Zach at (602)-402-7721 or Zach@christiancounselingservicesaz.com to begin your journey.
I am able to meet with clients either online via telehealth or in person at my office.
