Andrea Avalos, MS, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from American Indian College of the Assemblies of God. Andrea is passionate about others experiencing healing and freedom through the therapeutic process.
Andrea believes everyone has a story. Andrea offers a caring and compassionate environment where others have a voice to tell their story. She believes it is important for others to have a safe place to explore thoughts, emotions, and negative experiences, and walking with clients through finding the root cause of issues.
Andrea is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Andrea works with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), low self-esteem, past and present traumatic experiences, and many other areas.
Andrea has experience with serving on prayer team, worship team, leading bible study, and homeless outreach. She is comfortable with integrating faith and a biblical worldview into the counseling room at clients’ preferences.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys silversmithing and making jewelry, reading, and singing worship.
Andrea sees clients in person in our Mesa office (Greenfield and Southern), or by telehealth.
Andrea sees adult individual clients and couples.
