Sarah is an intern finishing her Master of Arts in Counseling at Phoenix Seminary. She is scheduled to graduate in Spring of 2024. Counseling and soul care is Sarah’s passion, called to this avocation after nearly two decades as an attorney. She is driven to see the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise to give His people life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10b) through the unburdening of their lives.
Sarah is a transplant from Los Angeles. She married an Arizonan son whom she met in Los Angeles and in 2018, she and her husband, and their three wonderful sons moved to Arizona and now call it home.
Sarah has always been close to Jesus but finally understood what it meant to be saved when she was 13 years old and accepted Jesus as her Lord. Her relationship with Jesus is at the center of everything she does and the driving force for all her decisions. As an attorney, she was the founding Executive Director of Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles, a legal aid ministry that provided pro bono legal services and prayer to the poor and the working poor.
Sarah has personally experienced God’s healing power and His amazing ability to redeem experiences, backgrounds, relationships and stories. Her hope is to join you on your journey to help you see the truth of who you are as God’s beloved and help you find your purpose and meaning.
Practically, Sarah is a Certified Trauma Professional through Evergreen Certifications. She is also currently in training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Sarah works under the direct supervision of Kelly McMahon, MSW, LCSW, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
