Teresa is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC-T) at Christian Counseling Services. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health and is a member of the International Honor Society. Teresa previously graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double minor in substance abuse and addiction and Social Science. Teresa loves spending time with her family and time with the church. These are where she finds her peace and comfort. Teresa has been married to her amazing husband for 28 years, and they have three fabulous grown children and the wonderful blessing of a daughter-in-law.
Teresa has spent over ten years as a military wife, and her oldest son is now a military veteran, with her other son currently serving active duty. She owned her own business for over eight years.
Teresa was allowed to walk through brokenness and trauma within her family, which God has turned into a passion for helping others through their own trauma. Teresa enjoys especially enjoys helping younger age through young adults. Understanding that not all people are made the same helps with having a vast understanding of many different therapeutic approaches, such as Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and many more, to help through the counseling process. Teresa has completed
her training in eye movement and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Teresa is currently under the direct supervision of Donald Durham, Ph.D., who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
