Meet Teresa, a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC-T) at Christian Counseling Services. With a
Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health and membership in the International Honor Society,
Teresa is highly qualified in her field. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of
Science in Psychology from Troy University, where she double-minored in substance abuse and
addiction and Social Science. When not at work, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family
and participating in church activities, which bring her peace and comfort. She has been married
to her wonderful husband for 29 years, and together they have three grown children and a
daughter-in-law who is a true blessing to their family.

Teresa has been a military wife for over 10 years. Her oldest son is a military veteran while her
other son is currently serving active duty. Furthermore, she owned her own business for over 8

Teresa experienced brokenness and trauma within her family, but she has turned her experiences
into a passion for helping others going through similar situations. She particularly enjoys
working with younger individuals, from children to young adults. Teresa understands that
everyone is unique, and this understanding has helped her develop a broad range of therapeutic
approaches, including EMDR, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive
Processing Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and more. Teresa has
completed her training in EMDR, which involves eye movement and reprocessing techniques.

Teresa is currently under the direct supervision of Donald Durham, Ph.D., who is an approved
Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Teresa will be
